The Vehicle engineering system in NSW has been replaced with the VSCCS (Vehicle Safety Certification Scheme) in NSW.

The scheme involves RMS (Roads and Maritime Services) NSW appointing suitably qualified licensed vehicle certifiers to assess and comply vehicle with modifications for the purpose of motor vehicle registration.
